Small Farmz is a 3-acre peri-urban teaching and demonstration farm located in the Metro Atlanta area, stewarded by farmer, educator, and consultant Maurice Small. With more than 25 years of experience in urban and peri-urban agriculture, Maurice’s farm is a living classroom focused on herbs, produce, composting systems, and regenerative growing practices.

Small Farmz is intentionally designed as a site for learning, training, and experimentation. The farm supports hands-on education through workshops, consultations, youth mentoring, and coaching—helping individuals, organizations, and communities build practical skills in soil building, food cultivation, and land stewardship.

As a demonstration space, Small Farmz showcases time-tested and adaptable practices that prioritize healthy soil, ecological balance, and long-term resilience. The farm exists to share knowledge, inspire confidence, and support others in creating productive growing spaces that honor both the land and the people who tend it.
